Our staff can say they have heard it all, but in this case, they heard some great things! This story from our Center Director recaps a great reminder of how much our members learn from what they hear at the Club. She shares with us….. I heard one of our newer members make a comment about our male staff wearing pink shirts and how boys can’t wear pink! Before I could even look up, I heard 3 members speak! Henry said you can’t say that here. This is our club and we can be who we want to be! Easton said no, no this is a safe place for all of us! Manii added you have to be kind, caring, and respectful to be here or you will get sent home and it would be very sad if you didn’t get to come to the Club! The other member quickly started saying sorry and they all continued to scan in and went about their routines. This truly shows how our members feel in the Club! Safe, included, and free to speak. This is a true testament to knowing that the structure, standards, programs, and staff really are making a difference, where kids know they belong, are safe, and they can be who they want to be!
